From the various poker threads on here, I've noticed that there are quite a few real money players. Anybody wanna do a low stakes cash game for fun?

If there isn't enough interest, we can make it play money but people don't usually take play money seriously.

 
I'm thinking Stars?

obviously it helps if we go on a site that everybody already has an account at.

I think .05/.10 is the highest we should go so as to not exclude people, we can raise the stakes or run 2 games at different stakes if interest is high.
 
I'd do low stakes if someone wants to do the work of walking me through the process of signing up because I'm too lazy to do it myself. Plus I'm still not sure on the legal age for online gambling anyway.
 
well, I've never created a private tourney before and also people might not be able to stay for the duration of the tourney. I was just thinking of everybody jumping on to an empty low stakes cash game and having some fun.
 
I'm in on Poker Stars if I get home from work at a reasonable hour.

Why don't we start off low, say $2k/$5k, and move up from there?

haha funny. I think I would be fainting if I was playing with a 500k stack.
 
I'm totally down with this, I just need more time to clear my schedule, as in let's try and plan a few days in advance, not just one. 🙂

You need to have plenty of advance notice and get signups and such. We can have an actual tournament then, depending on the number of people we have we can run a few tables - table winners go on to another game against each other, then either break it down to 1st/2nd/3rd or winner take all or whatever.
