I'll be 35 in November, and I don't feel "old." I'll be old when I hit triple digits in the age department maybe. It does feel funny back in college with a bunch of 18 to 22 year olds though.

I had that one happen recently and I'd still say I'm young. I wasn't getting arrested, but I picked up a friend at the drunk tank. The night manager (I don't know his rank, so that's the best way I can put it) was the only officer there older than me.Originally posted by: Red Dawn

Well, I never went to the clubs, but I started to notice I was "old" at about 27. Since I never went to clubs it wasn't something I thought about much. Now at 37 I realize I can relate more to people in their 40's and 50's. I see their point of view more clearly now. I'm not over the hill, but I do think about things from time to time. I also realize that I can't do very physically demanding work like I used to do when I was in my 20's. Part of it is because of my bad back, but more so because well, I just don't have the motivation to do grunt work anymore.
They say you're only as old as you feel, so don't feel so old, but realize that life has little stages or changes that we all go through.

When characters in movies and on TV who always seemed much older to me started to become the same age.

I felt old about 2 years after I started working full time right after college. The 1st year and a half of work was ok - after home, I still played video games (WoW), went out etc. Once I moved to a different position, I stopped playing video games, started to buy more dress shirts/pants, and tried to be as professional as possible.
Oh the few grey strands of hair (I'm 25), parents pushing about marriage, moving out, etc.
Somtimes, I wish I could get those college years back, but then again, I would love to be married in a few years and have kids.. then the fun begins.![]()
Your 25 and live with your folks? Dude, get a life.
Im 24 and I live with my parents. My girlfriend is almost 26 and she lives with her parents. We both have college degrees, good jobs, I'm working towards my CPA, and she has her masters and is working towards a doctorate. Sure, we could move out together now, but we plan on gettinng married next year. I am not wasting money on rent; I'd rather buy a house when I get married. So whats the problem again with living at home to save money?

Oh I dunno, the whole mooching off your parents and delaying entry into the real world.
But then again, maybe I'm just jaded because I worked full time at a law firm while going to law school at night. My perception of hard work is probably a tad different then most.
