I can hear what sounds like a concert or something, just a muffled base sound and thinking "no way there would be any event like that at this time of year" then realized it was my cat snoring lol.

Got up early to watch the SpaceX launch. I couldn't see it from here. This was the first time trying to see a morning launch. The atmosphere was already too opaque to see the plume.

Installed a new kitchen faucet. Man those are a pain due to working in such a tight and awkward space. Glad that's done. The old one was leaking slightly every time it was being used, I did not even realize it because the water happened to be filling up a container that was shoved deep behind under the sink. It eventually overflowed and made everything inside wet, that's how I discovered it. For all I know this has been going on for like a year or more. When I get a run of night shifts that sink doesn't get used for a week at a time so the water inside the container would have a chance to evaporate a bit.

We attended an early music concert today featuring 13th century French music. To play music from that era, the musicians have to take great liberty in reconstructing the tunes from scarce source material. Sometimes they have nothing but the words, sometimes musical notation or side notes specifying instruments or style of play. Anyway, listening to one piece I was kind of like, "Congratulations, you've reconstructed Steely Dan's Hey Nineteen." The tune was identical.
