When my uncle ran a corner store with a take-out place I made a site for him, he sold it a few years ago but I agreed to keep the hosting and site maintained for new owners until they decide to do their own hosting and site. They decided this year to do that and yesterday I updated the DNS records.

I was curious to see the new site and I am 90% positive the entire site is vibe coded. I know the images are.

I won't brag about my site as it was fairly old and outdated but at least I actually had put effort into it lol.

They came with the big snow blower to widen my street. They're still trying to catch up with the big storm, lot more streets left to do. I have a feeling it will be this way all winter, by the time they're done we'll get another storm lol. They only have so much of the heavy equipment and operators to go around.

It would be futile trying to do it by hand, there's no where to push it so have to lift and shoot each shovel full and slowly chip away at it. Would take weeks. Just going to give up on that path. My main thing is I want to be able to get to my firewood. Going to set up something so I can just load it through the basement window then I don't need to have a cleared path and I'll just snow shoe there or put ski pants and walk through the snow.

I will still need to dig out around the chimney though so I can get to the cleanout to check inside once in a while. That might take an hour or two but not as bad as trying to do the whole path.

I grew up in that shit. Don't tell me how you didn't plan to have paths shoveled for your wood. That's how we heated our house. Guess who had to do it.

Not only did I shovel pass in the yard to get to the wood, I also shoveled past so that we could walk the dog. Hell, I even shoveled the turnaround so I could play basketball. We had a super long driveway too! You had to start early when you got storms or blizzards.

Driveway is easy, there's lots of room to move the snow around and once you get an area done it just gets easier from there, but a small narrow path is hard to do as there's nowhere to push it, even the snowblower struggles as it just spins and gets stuck. The snow is higher than the machine. It's doable, but the amount of effort is not worth the outcome. I rather use my days off for something else.

Even the city has been struggling, with big machines.

We also had snow shoes just in case. We'd get lake effect snow. When it was a storm you had to start early before it got too deep. We had to do this because we had to get to the wood, to walk the dogs, etc. It was part of life. And yeah, I'll keep telling you stories about how I'm wearing shorts in January. That's because I can. But once upon a time I used to live in the same type of environment as you. Just not as far north. Maybe you can call up Santa Claus and ask him to loan you a reindeer!
