It's one of the few things I don't like about living here, the constant darkness for a good part of the year. The summers just go by too fast!
 
Messing around with RPI got the DS18B20 sensors working. Made a basic python script that can enumerate the devices on the 1wire interface or read temp from a specific one. Nothing fancy. No plan to put actual logic code on here this is strictly to read/write sensors/controls. Will probably play around with Home Assistant for the actual controlling of stuff. The RPI is mostly a temp solution until I do controllers that have ethernet built in. The same way my current home automation stuff was suppose to be temporary and it's been running for over 10 years lol.
