I finally figured out how to tell Amazon that packages should be delivered on the garage side of the house. But I've been getting them on the front porch, it's probably going to be a while before they get in the groove.

Most pkgs are coming there but occasionally not.

So today I transported them to the garage where the black feral likes to hang out. He didn't run away until I opened the garage door. Then he disappeared.

You trained the raccoons to accept your packages? Cool!

One of my psych meds (fluvoxamine) seems to make me hum constantly. I am on the max dose of 300mg but even on 200mg it's much less prominent but still there. Sometimes it drives me nuts. But this has been going on for years now and it has now devolved into a sort of low, semi-melodic growl. I can control it but as soon as I think about something else, it's back.

I had about a half pound of sliced turkey that started to smell a little funny. So I put some out for the cats just as a group of them had gathered by the back porch.

There one tuxedo kitty that's a bit braver and/or curious than the rest. I tossed him/her a piece and it scampered off leaving a good chunk of it behind.

I just went out again now after maybe 20 minutes - whoosh. No sliced turkey.

edit - and it's not like the cats have any reason to be hungry. I guess they just like fresh-ish bird flesh.

Have not been to a party since a 2011 art gallery shindig. We had our paintings hanging on the walls. A bit vain.

The raccoons might be way smarter than what I give them credit for.

When I put out the deli turkey last night, I used a paper bowl. The kibble was in two other paper bowls. At one point before bed (around 3am) I checked the bowls and "someone" had scooped some kibble from one of the other bowls and put it in the bowl that had held the turkey.

Now . . . I didn't do that and I pretty sure it wasn't any other human. So it seems that they were trying to send me a message. "we can smell what was in this bowl and we'd like some too."

Well my furry little butt cracks, don't hold your breath.
