Some bkgd - the porch cam is pointed right at the food bowl, about 3 ft away. Heated water bowl is closer.

All day (since noon o'clock), I've been watching this spotted lantern fly slowing dying in the water bowl. I was going to save it but then I saw what it was and was like Rutger Hauer's char in Bladerunner. Time to die.

It's still out there but not moving much. The kitties still look over at it though.

I think I just saw Bernoulli's law working IRL.

Fiji water comes in a square bottle. So I have a half empty on the coffee table. The fan is blowing right on it.

So, haven't touched the bottle in a while since I've been drinking elderflower and rose lemonade. Very pleasant stuff. I go to pick up the Fiji and see condensation just on the back corner.

What I think is happening - the air is compressed as it's going around the front corner and then toward the sides.

As it comes around the corners, it decompresses and therefore speeds up. That cools off the back corner.

Have I mentioned how much I love watching the kitties eat, then repeatedly lick their chops, then take a few steps and then do one of their famous kitty stretches.

One of the tiger striped kitties has a really long tail - if you chop off his head, the tail is as long as he is.

Sweden beat our national women's team. It was 0 - 0 until the penalty phase. I didn't watch of course but I think it's just wonderful that they had been 2 time world champs.

I'm trying to seduce one of the ferals. It's a very young cat. Maybe, a year or so old. He/she seemed to be more amenable a few months ago but I'm guess he has had some human exposure since he doesn't just dart off like the rest.

The question though is, do I want to do that? I'm still not in any shape to take care of a pet. But I think we can be buddies with a little gradual coaxing.

So today, I opened the back door and he didn't run. Then I added another can of tuna to the bowl and watched him chow down for about 20 minutes.
