Kind of impromptu, but just added a network drop to the spare bedroom. I eventually want to move my office there. All 6 tested to gig speed first try, at least according to Windows XP. :p (old laptop I have lying around) Been a while since I ran ethernet drops so was glad they all worked out. I accidentally cut one of 2 drops in the basement with the sawzall when I was working on wood stove, and the jacks were near wood stove, so I just eliminated them, and it so happens the cables were long enough, so that made 2, then ran the 4 other ones.

The litter box will go there for now, so if ever they make smart litter boxes that support link aggregation, I'm covered. :p

Running out of room on the patch panel. I have a 1U 24 port one on hand. I might run a triple on the other side of the room later. Goal is to build a wrap around desk at some point. I'd have a small server rack where the 6x plate is, and if I do add a triple it would probably be for a workbench area. I don't really work on PCs anymore but it's still nice to have at least a basic workbench for the odd time I do.

Chimney installer suppose to come today... I hope because I got up early just for that, and I start nights tonight. It's going to be a long night given I'll have been up almost 24h. I used to be able to do that, but not anymore.
