Do you often have unreliable power?

Quebec does. They seem to often get large scale outages that last for a day or more. I got techs with generators but we're losing lot of sites too as batteries run low. I have about 16 without power right now. I've seen that go to over 50. Normally I'd be calling in for backup but I'm more or less managing.

I dial in every hour or two to check voltages. The old system used to show all the voltages but now we have to dial manually to each one.

1 hour to go. Crazy night, lost a couple sites, but other than that things are somewhat under control for day shift.

Debating on if I should stay up or go to bed, since it's my last night. Chimney installer is suppose to come do it today but not sure what time or if he'll actually come. Either way think I'll stay up as it would be a good time to clean the house, and also move the chimney parts upstairs.

Done my shift, handed over the mess to the day shift guy. *washes hands*

I put everything in a spreadsheet and easy to follow though, so there's that. Some of these outages don't have any clear ETRs yet on the hydro site.

Staying up, hopefully my chimney installer does in fact call me today to come and do it...

Tired nef. Going to try to tough it to like 5 then head to bed I think.

As hard as it is to stay up sometimes after the last night shift, it is the fastest way to revert back to day mode. No contact from Chimney installer so that's annoying. Was really hoping he'd do it today, and early enough.

Probably does not help that I had a super busy night, normally I get home and crash after a night like that.

Getting random small things done around the house just to keep moving. Just cleaned my chainsaw. I need to find my sharpening tool, it's probably due to be sharpened. Though maybe that's something I should do when I'm more awake.
