The landscaper I hired to the the lawn, and some, uh, landscape things is in the hospital. His crew are dropping the ball. I'll be able to hay my yard by the time they get over.Mowed the lawn for 2nd time this year. Needed a coat again. Feels weird mowing the lawn and not actually being hot and sweaty. It's like we're not really getting summer this year or something. Temps are still dropping to near or below zero at night. Have not turned on the hose yet. I actually relocated it a while back and never tested it.

Well yeeess, that's my point. Should be max heat.Solstice is technically the peak though. It's the time we're the closest to the sun. Starts to cool off after that and days start to get shorter.
The summer solstice is when the sun is at it's highest in the sky. That is, when the northern hemisphere is closer to the sun. However, the hottest daily temps don't happen until July/August. Probably due to ocean temps (which hold heat longer) and ocean currents and how they all effect the jet stream and other upper atmosphere events. I realize it's different when you are that far north, but I'd assume it would be the same, albeit with shorter growing seasons.Solstice is technically the peak though.
