I did know that… once and only for a very short period of time. It came up in a book about Feynman. That validates the "use it or lose it" mantra for knowledge. I need to make me some lambda baryons to put the knowledge into muscle memory.

I just completed the initial user training for our new Grand Unified Database of Everything®. The new database goes live in July. The collection of old databases it is replacing have used the same user interfaces since the 1980s. I wonder how many long-term employees will retire/resign by the end of July? The new user interface is okay but it's different.

The company tried updating the databases back in the late 90s and the effort collapsed when they realized, very late in the process, that they would have to train all employees to use Unix in order to access the database. Geezer employees still have the nifty coffee mugs the company had made to celebrate and promote the new database.
