Doc gave me a new Migraine med to try (injectable). Working through two weeks of serious constipation. I had no idea it could be this bad. That side effect wasn't even listed on the drug company's list of possible side effects. Bastages!

I could make a comment about the causal relationship between constipation and the headaches but I'm bigger than that. :p

Stray dog nef

She was lying under a tree in the desert. We brought her home and then to the shelter. She is a very happy and friendly dog so I don’t think she was out for long. She has a microchip and the shelter is working on contacting her person. If they don’t get a response in five days, she goes up for adoption. The shelter tech expects that she would be adopted within hours if a shelter volunteer doesn’t take her first.

Starting night shift 1 of 4 nef.

We just got an external wired connection setup at our desks like we had at old office. So much better than the wifi that kept cutting out and require re-authentication. It's basically our surfing connection, but also acts as a backup in case the corporate one goes down, we can connect to that one and try to VPN in.

Wireless sucks. Great for your phone and such. Doing work? I'll take a wired connection over wifi any day.

FFS getting hit with like 50+ outages in Quebec. Going to be a busy night. ugh. They need to fix their power grid. Seriously. It snows a little and they get massive outages that last days.

It's only going to get worse when we go all electric.

Probably, the techs are going to have their truck batteries die at COs and won't be able to head to the next one lol. I think they already did outlaw generators in California, I guess they just let stuff die when there's large scale outages... which they get all the time.

I think we're going to be dropping sites tonight. Called all the techs in the region and neighbouring regions and no one answering. Even field manager not answering lol. I'm pretty much on my own. Fun stuff. Not the first time.

I at least have one tech helping out. He chained up the generator at the first site I called him on and going to go get another for another site that's low on battery.

Might be time for another covfefe.

...and we dropped a site, and it won't be the last. Tree fell on hydro pole, was on fire, burnt our fibre and copper, and no hydro crews anywhere, fun stuff. FD had to shut power to entire region right at the power plant.
