Ready to put ceiling up where the wood stove will go, then ready to tile. There was lot of misc jobs to do which made it take so long. Moving outside hose, rerouting some electrical, etc. Air intake all setup too. Once it's tiled I can move the wood stove to it's location and just need to wait for spring for the chimney install. I probably won't really use the wood stove much this year at this point, but we do get the odd chilly day in summer where it gets kind of cold in the house but not cold enough to justify running the furnace, so I might use it for days like that since the heat is free anyway.

There's also a process to break in the stove, and it will probably put out lot of fumes because the paint on it has to cure, so maybe it won't be a bad thing to do that process in spring/summer that way I can open up all the windows. You're technically suppose to do that process outside, but I just wanted to stove moved indoors asap once I got it as it was snowing, and needed help for that.

This project has taken way longer than I wanted it to. My bad feet make it hard though, I can only work a few hours a day before my feet just hurt too much.

What's wrong with your feet?

Achillies tendon pain, heal pain, and sometimes it even goes higher up to the ankle. Some days are better than others. Started last year with morton syndrome, got a cortizone shot to fix it but this started several months ago. I don't know if I just want to keep getting shots since it's just masking the problem instead of fixing it, but it seems these days that's all they do is mask stuff instead of fixing it. Have not been getting very far with it. What I need is a MRI to actually diagnose it. They keep adjusting my orthotics but don't think orthotics are even in the equation, I'm sitting down most of the time so it's not like there's lot of weight on my feet.

Our bodies are not meant to be sedentary. You want to live longer, you need to move. Sorry about your foot. It's not a matter of stretching, huh? I hate my orthotics. What works for me? Shoes. I wear Asics tri Noosa shoes. They have good mid side support. Bouncy up front. Sometimes you have to find the right shoe.

It's in his genes. Not much he can do about it.

I thought I posted about myself. I think that AT locked me out. Made me resign back in. I have some stretchy ligament syndrome. A connective tissue disorder. My feet have hurt progressively worse as I age. I have arthritis (most likely a reaction to the ligament issue) in my right foot where the big toe connects to the foot. Bone on bone. I have had surgery once. Podiatrist says I could have surgery again.

I have also had some pain in my heel due to plantar fasciitis. I did a lot of stretching. But what I found out helped most was the shoes. I realize genetics has f***ed me, but I want to avoid being a cripple. Sometimes the pain is great. I just loosen the laces on the front of the shoe and make sure my heal is snug. But like I said, maybe it's just squirrel finding the right shoe for him that lessons the pain and discomfort of his condition. Before I got my current model, my feet were killing me. Plus, I was getting blisters. Not any longer. I am so grateful.

I used to play a lot of competitive sports when I was younger. I had to stop because I kept blowing out my joints. I turned to running. That didn't seem to affect my knees and ankles as much. Then the arthritis came. Plus, pain in the knees and ankles. I so wanted to return to running after my foot surgery, as I did not get my joint fused. I wanted to remain mobile. But I had to give that up. Then I gained weight as my wife went through her cancer journey. Finally, I had enough and starting using my treadmill in 2015. Using the incline, I lost 50 pounds in about 6 months. I lost another 20 over the next four years. Back at it this past month.

I am not looking forward to getting elderly. My mother had surgery on her eyes and ankles due to her ligament issues. I'm going to be blind and crippled. Yay.

I am probably getting diabetes and glaucoma from parents' lineage. Am already monitoring for both.

Good info to know. When I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes my mom said 'well, there is a history of diabetes in our family'. I’m like - so NOW you tell me?!
