Leave it to me to randomly decide to do electrical at 3am lol. I added two more light sockets on one side of my basement that only has two, and I also flipped them so they are flush with the joists and mounted horizontally instead of sticking out downward like you would typically install them. Moved my weight set to that side of the basement so less chance of hitting them when I do overhead presses. The other side has 2 T8 fixtures that are flush mounted but that's where the wood stove is going. I also had to move those a while back.
The way I flush mounted them actually works decently, I was worried it might create weird shadows but it's not that bad. I need to do the same to the ones in the crawlspace since I'm always banging my head on those and breaking them in the process.
Tomorrow I'll continue on the wood stove, almost ready to do the cementboard on the ceiling. Had lot of stuff I had to do before that such as move the two T8 fixtures, garden hose, add intake vent etc. There's a few other things in that ceiling to deal with them I'm ready to finish it. At that point I'll be ready to tile and after that it's time for the chimney, which I'm still hoping to hire out.
