Sadly when you grow up and have to do stuff snow = more work.
Really takes the fun out of making snow-men and such!
Snowpeople are great for target practice - just not with firearms. Probably not a great idea with those pulley-system bows either. So what's left? OK, good point.
Do you take anything for that? Like Lyrica. Or, in Europe many use Benfotiamine (also avail in US).
I take 1200mg of gabapentin in two 600mg doses. Supposedly this drug has some addictive qualities but for the life of me I can't figure out why. If I forget to take it, I only notice when I start getting that annoying "sleeping limb" tingling in my toes. I think Lyrica (pregabalin) is the precursor to gabapentin but I'd have to check.
========================================
It's going to be below freezing here for basically 98% of the next week or so. So I took care of the walkways when it was still mostly powder. But now it has turned into ice. Still looks like snow at least until you try to bite into it. The yellow stuff isn't too bad though.
So since I tend to get a lot of deliveries, today I salted a path through the driveway - roughly 50 ft to the last garage door. It's not really treacherous to walk because the snow has frozen in such uneven ways you're not likely to trip, but still, I always try to keep the delilvery folks in mind.
I'm pretty sure they appreciate it too. I got an over-sized mailbox that can choke down packages up to a large, flat-rate USPS box. And since I don't like going out in this weather if I can avoid it, the carriers make very good use of the additional space.
edit: almost forgot. Because of the feral cats and other wildlife, I only use magnesium chloride. It's not much more expensive. Also, for the walkways, I don't have a choice because they're cement bricks. The driveway is mostly just compressed earth and gravel with a top layer of just gravel. So if it looks like a bad winter (NOAA quarterly? forecast) I'll also get some of the other stuff.
