I was forced to take the wife and kids to the mall...

My condolences. That's a shoot me now moment.

I never took my wife to the mall unless it was to drop her off or pick her up. She worked at Macy's for 13 years. The only time I went to the mall otherwise, would be to get tools at Sears. I stopped going to Sears about 2013. It was so sad.

Welp, I just put an offer on a 40 acre property without going to see it. I'm a baller like that.

Close enough to town that it would be realistic to do that drive for even just a weekend, not lake front, but lot of lakes in the area, and overall nice area. I hope it goes through, I think this is the one.

Going to go see it Wednesday.

It's the humans that are the worst. They think it's cute to film them doing this instead of correcting the little bastards in the first place.

As a side note the bottom element in my stove blew on me. That was quite spectacular. Was preheating it and putting away dishes while I wait then I noticed a bright light from inside the oven, at first I was like "weird, did I turn the light on?" then suddenly very loud 60hz noise and flashing of light, then I realize this was not operating nominally. Turned it off. There's a white spot where it blew. Hopefully these are universal and I can just replace it.

Sky is brightening up, storm mostly over. That was fun.

I wonder if I should call someone about that bell, but surely the FD probably got a call for it already.

You can replace the element yourself. How hard can it be? I rent, but I've watched them do that repair before.

Realtor asked to see if I can set financing timeline to 1 week instead of 2 as there's lot of others interested. Fine by me. Hopefully I manage to snag this one, very competitive to get these parcels of land it seems. I probably should have offered the asking price instead of going lower, only went lower by like 2 grand though. I hope it's not going to get to a point where there is a bidding war over vacant land. I do have a bit of wiggle room though.
