I got most of it working already, just need to do the authenticator. Will be using a separate central authenticator as I eventually want to tie in other stuff into it.

With new covid rules no, not allowed to visit anyone. Before you were allowed to have a social circle of 10 people, though, nobody really followed it much. You're only allowed to visit family if you are from out of the country now. I know, it makes no sense.

So, who is going to rat you out?

Probably a karen, or just cops doing a patrol. Though I have not really heard of anyone getting in too much trouble here. There was a couple parties that got broken up by cops but no charges laid, but they did said they will start being stricter from this point on.

For Thanksgiving I think what will end up happening is it will be at my sister's, so I'm just going to walk. I'm sure they will be patroling looking for vehicles in driveways that don't belong there.

The government is not going to tell me I can't go visit someone privately. If we're really in the zombie apocalypse, then I'll be walking around strapped.

Another property came up, direct off a main road so no bush road to worry about maintaining. 60k though... I can technically afford that with the credit line but if I'm calculating that right the interest would be like $300/mo. That's just interest. I barely even have $300 left at the end of month so it would be a pretty bad decision I think... I just emailed my bank to reduce my mortgage payment to $400 biweekly so I can pay off the credit line faster though and that would give me some leeway if I did buy. The credit line is just not moving fast enough so I think it was my best bet either way.

Way I see it though if I did blow that kind of money on a property it's not really any different than buying a brand new car, roughly the same price range. Also when my shares go back up I can cash a nice chunk, like 30k or so. More like 40k by then, but if I account for taxes I would probably get around 30k give or take. They're sitting at 37k right now.

But yeah I'll sleep on this one, if I'm feeling it tomorrow I might go for a drive and see it and get drone shots. From sat images it looks like there may even be an area that's already open.

People do it all the time with cars... yeah it's not really smart, but long term I don't know how much these properties will cost so I may actually save. They go fast. High demand means the prices will go up.

Very worse case scenario I can sell it if I fall into trouble.

But yeah I should wait until next year and get a realtor and try to find something more in my price range. If I'm lucky a lake/river front might even come up. I'm not finding these at all when searching but maybe a realtor would have more access. They sell like hot cakes so probably never make it on the market.

people that lease car and can afford it is one thing. you are the other. Price will not rise as much as interest payment.

Made the ice cream custard base so I had egg white left over. Stir fried it. For the love of god who can eat eggs without yolk all the time?

Got some new impact locking extensions: 3", 6" and 12". I tested them out and they hold well. My old Craftsman locking extensions would not hold the socket well.
