Now running Linux Mint Cinnamon.

Hopefully I'm done distro hopping for a while now... there was this really annoying issue in Mate that I could not stand. Any new deskop icons that were created kept showing up on the wrong monitor. It's always a fight trying to get multi monitors to work properly, I don't know why it's this hard. Even as is, there's still weird quircks, especially at boot time, that I've seen with all distros so far. Lots of flicking and weird stuff and dicking around before it finally starts to display something. And on a new install it will continue to flicker them and do strupid crap until I can manage to get to display settings and set them both to 30 hz. Yes, 30. Even in 2001 I was running at like 85 hz. Only I manage to get weird issues like that... Super annoying. I don't get what I could be doing wrong when these are brand new installs. I just have bad luck.

But it works now... at 30hz lol. My old setup was the same, if I tried to go to 60 all hell broke loose.

Oddly enough it's not bad on the eyes though. In CRT days this would have been torture. Just won't be doing any gaming with this, but I don't plan to as I have a separate Windows machine for that.

At the vet with Pedey. He's been peeing outside of his box for the last couple of weeks. That's what I get for getting new carpeting. Hope it's just a UTI.

The vet confirms that Pedey has a UTI. Good news. They gave him a two-week antibiotic shot. Yay!

As a side note I wanted to get up at 10am today, don't know what happened but alarm never went off I guess. The call woke me up at like 1 lol.

I did it all today. Slept in (7am). Washed dishes. Took the cat to the vet at 9. Took nap. Went and had lunch (wings). Went to the market. Got something sweet (cake). Filled up the gas tank in the Camry. Put up groceries. Put a six pack of Hofbrau in the fridge. Started laundry. Folded laundry. Put up laundry. (amazing how these go in tandem ) Vaccumed carpet. Cleaned grease spots on carpet in office. Cleaned countertops in both bathrooms. Checked motor oil in car. Added a half quart. Going to make some quacamole later this evening when I get hungry again. I should probably clean the trash can lid. It's one of those touchless ones. Still get dirty. I emptied it last night (and the rest of the home's trash).

Whelp, gonna fold from that auction. Some idiots have been in a bidding war and there is still over an hour left. They drove the price up to over $500. That was my cut off where I told myself if it goes higher than that I won't continue. Who the hell bids on an auction when there's still an hour left? lol. They just made it worse for themselves.

I should not be spending this kind of money on a domain anyway. $500 is basically 2 months worth of payments on the credit line.

If it stays in the low $500 range I am still tempted to put in a bid last minute though, I've been waiting on this domain for months lol.
