I picked up an Apache radio station this morning. We knew Spanglish was a thing but I now know that Apachlish is also a thing.
could be thisWas playing with an AM radio at night and managed to pickup stuff from what I assume was Mexico. It sounded like it might be Spanish but not 100% sure. Ionosphere bounce is an interesting thing.

When I was a kid, my father got me a pocket transistor radio with a mono headphone. I thought it was the greatest thing. Only AM though. It was a Panasonic. When I lived in Northern Indiana, I could turn my dial past the low end (analog, not digital) and pickup Radio Moscow. Propaganda! At night I could listen to WBBM in Chicago and WLS in St. Louis. I'm pretty sure WBAP out of Dallas.
I remember building one of those as a kid (far from pocket sized though) and being amazed at the fact that it could pickup radio without any batteries or anything.
WLS is in Chicago.
Ordered fish and chips nef. Poutine style of course. Decided to save 5 bucks and I'll actually go pick it up. Though I don't know if I'm really saving 5 bucks by using the truck.
