Society is crumbling.

Taco Bell could not make orders because their register was malfunctioning. And of course it doesn't matter that they have the food and the workers on hand to make food, or that any one of them could use a smart phone to do the math, its just not possible to run the place with a messed up register.

7-11 had a little old lady buying cigarettes for all her sick little old friends. She insisted on buying all the individual packets instead of one carton. Everyone in the store is staring at her and wondering how forgiving a judge might be.

I was awoken this morning to the sound of thunderstorms. I check my phone. It's almost 5am. Then the sound of hail the size of golf balls. My car alarm starts going off. FML

One of my regular sites gave me a mostly blank page because I was running an adblocker. I use my VPN almost full time at home and it had a feature to block anything I wanted at the DNS and IP level. So, I turned on all the sliders. No ads, no tracking, no social media, fake news and clickbait crap, no cryptominers. Yay!

Hopefully you won't get anything damaging.

Hail is always so crazy to see. We get it here once in a while, but nothing really bad. Maybe like grape sized. Had a video but guess it got pulled since it had background music.

There was one part where a chunk bounced and hit the window, that was a bit scary lol.

I don't know how my solar panels would fair out if we got hail now, they are supposedly rated for it though.

lol last night's fibre issue was caused by a 12 gauge. Someone shot at it. Stupid people don't realize they are isolating entire communities when they do that, and won't have internet or phone service when they get home.

What else is there for bored youth to do in the great white north?

I have often needed to buy something from Gunbroker because I cant find it at my local shop.
The CZ Bren 2 pistol as an example. Not many hillbilly stores in my area keep euro guns in stock.

I watched your YT vid. Doesn't sound like you are in love with it.

Had an interesting conversation with my boss. Company is looking into this initiative where they want to have people trained on Python since they want to be ready in the future if they need to diversify or what not and require programmers. My boss and his boss basically thought of me immediately when that came up so I was contacted to see if I was interested and I've been signed up to be on that list to get training on it. Funny enough I had been thinking of learning Python anyway, was kind of on the back of my mind.

Way I see it if something happens to my job but I'm part of that group then there could be a chance I don't lose my job and just get changed to a programmer. I just hope I would not get shipped off down south or anything though and that I would still get to work from here.

What would be SUPER awesome is if it turned into a work from home job, but that I don't see happening.

Home PC didn't lock up yet... made it further than past few other nights. I changed a setting in the bios. Disabled C states which is something I found that worked for some people.

Still very early to call it though, there's some nights where it only locked up the next morning at like 9am. But I was also going to bed at like 2-3am on those nights.

That would make sense. I turn off all the power management on my server.
