Yikes my credit card is at over $1,800. That's more than a pay cheque lol. Going to go ahead and pay that off with money that is not mine. (credit line)

I did splurge and bought a couple expensive thing recently though... and the bill for fixing my truck is in there too.

Found out someone I know past away suddenly. Quite shocked. He was just a year younger than me. He was going through rough times - divorce etc, I hope it was not suicide but that's kind of what I'm thinking... I tried my best to help him with emotional support etc, but only so much you can do. I also suspect he may have ODed as he used to be into drugs, and maybe he got back into it. I lent him quite a lot of money too. I just hope he was not just buying drugs...

Handling it ok, but shocked. I did not know him that well or for long, it's actually one of my other friends that introduced me to him a few years back and we were both trying to help him get back on his feet as he was going through hard times. Long story short his wife just went batshit crazy on him at complete random, threw him out, lied to cops about him, got a restraining order and whole 9 yards. She took everything. He took this very hard and went into a pretty serious depression. We did what we could to try to help him, but he was in pretty deep by the end.

Downside of pcie is you're limited to how many you can have in one system and you lose hot swapability. I guess with a SSD there is less chance of a failure though outside of the wearing out so probably don't have to touch it for good 5ish years. If you like to live dangerously you can even do raid 0 and combine 4. Would be pretty crazy running VMs off that.

Pretty sure this is striped and behaves as one drive. Data lake.
