I'll know for sure tomorrow with day light but it looks like I can call this done.

Not the perfect patch job but it will do. :p I had trouble getting the drywall to sit flush for some reason so I knew at that point it would not be the most pro job.

That's what a big dog and firearms are for

Then you get arrested, and the perp gets free counseling paid for by my tax dollars. I wish we had castle laws here.

I guess the trick is to make it look like an accident. Only problem is you have to kill them so they don't say what really happened. I suppose it's possible to die from falling down the stairs if you hit your neck wrong and break it. I guess it would be tricky to set that up though, need to actually break their neck and not injure them too much more lol.

Texas law extends the “Castle Doctrine” beyond your residence to include your occupied vehicle and workplace. That seems fair to me.

Oh yeah, I don't live there.

An old boss opened the weekly status meeting with:

Sorry, I'm late D called from Dallas. His wife had D up at o-dark thirty in the morning. "Honey, someone is f'n with the cars" .
He goes out in his PJs and gun. He yells. They shoot. He shoots back. They get back in their car and scram.
Cops are on the way. "Sir, are you OK?" "Tell us what you saw"

Obviously, there was more conversation involved. No one hurt (thankfully). He was not charged with anything.

Also, ned

Yeah Texas does one thing right! Should be like that everywhere. You should have every right to protect yourself and your property.

I lean left on most issues, but I absolutely believe that I have the right to own firearms and use them when necessary. Why should the government be allowed to have firearms and not its citizens? I believe the government should be "of the people". We do not exist for the government. Freedom of speech (that includes the internet), freedom of religion (and from religion), freedom of the press... these are all things that should be our right.

I'm still waiting for my 7000k. Called the support number at work today. Apparently they sent a cheque instead of direct deposit. Still, it's been a month. I'm really worried it got lost or something now.

I prefer keeping the firewall separate from the rest of the network myself. Been itching to do some VM related upgrades though. I want to get off vmware and go with Proxmox or something along those lines. I want to be able to do live migrations and stuff without having to deal with commercial software (or piracy). Probably convert my mining rig into a VM server just need to get a proper case since the 6U monster is kinda overkill. Just not sure if you can live migrate between Intel and AMD though... Might be another excuse to build another AMD box lol.

Suppose I should pay off my truck first though. I still need to figure out WTF is going on with my corporate shares. If I don't get any sign of it by Monday I'm calling back to cancel it and getting it direct deposited like it should have been. No idea why they sent a cheque.
