Took off at 1pm today to have my windshield replaced. Discussed everything in writing (email) before calling and confirming that they have glass for my year/model. So, go to drop off the keys and inform the owner of the two decals (inspection/registration and parking) and the two microphones and their location.
Well, I finally get my car back and the installer comes back in looking flustered. I didn't know why at the time. I pay the bill. I go out to my vehicle and there is grease on the passenger seat and the driver's inside door handle. The microphone for the security's glass breakage sensor is missing. I find the (cut) wire from the missing microphone tucked under the pillar trim. They couldn't even return the missing microphone. The owner claims I never told him. Liar. Let's just say we did not part on good terms. I was angry for a good long time.
I was near the shop that installed the Viper in the first place. Cost me $69 + tax for the microphone for the glass breakage sensor. I decided to retint my rear window that had bubbled up for the last couple of years. Sent a copy of the receipt to the glass shop. Don't expect anything, but at least I tried. Not worth going to small claims sport for spite. Still sucks though.
