My mail server is so bloody slow since I virtualized it. I think it's my disk storage, I really need to figure out why it's so bloody slow. Locally the NAS is fast, SSH is also fast, but NFS is bloody slow. Might look into iSCSI but it's more complicated to setup properly with multiple hosts, which I eventually want to do. I want to move off ESX and go with KVM/Qemu. It's not exactly turn key though, going to want to code a front end and some scripts etc to automate it. Going to want to setup a lab environment for that at some point. Probably buy a couple off lease Dell or HP PCs. Just need to make sure they have VT-D.

I sometimes toy with the idea of just doing local only storage but I really like the idea of centralized storage and then being able to do live migrations etc. That's eventually what I want to have setup. ESX is nice for that but you have to pay for those features.

I may also look into doing dedicated luns, 1 LUN per VM. I think it would be safe to just map all the luns on every host as only one host would be accessing a given LUN at a time. What would be cool is to have the LUN map straight to the VM so it would just see it as a hard drive. I think it may be possible to do that.

Was going to wait till my night shifts to binge watch GoT season 7 and 8, but thinking I can do season 7, like today. It's too crappy out to do what I was planing to, so I can do that tomorrow. I could in theory do a whole season in a day, that's about 10 hours. Too bad I don't have any wine here though. I should have bought some the other day when I thought about it.

I have one, like I said I suck at cooking lol. I just never really know what to make and most recipes look so complicated I don't know what half of anything even means. I really do need to push myself to learn I just never have the motivation when the telephone is my main cooking appliance. :p

Did do chicken in it and freeze in batches with rice from the rice cooker, for some reason the last one didn't turn out though.

Err, it's very simple. Stuff like beef stew is basically dump all ingredients in, set mode, wait.

Started cleaning out my garage today. Got most of the stuff moved to the shed, now to figure out what to do with the lumber. I think I'll just store it in the house, and the small bits I'll bring to my parents for burning.

Then I can start demolishing the chimney, and from there decide on what to do with floor. Subfloor, or refinish concrete. Also need to decide if I get rid of garage door, it would buy me some head room, and also make it more thermally efficient. I'd still install the garage door panels on the outside of the house to make it look like a garage, as any major changes to the outside you probably need a permit.

No idea what parboil means. Had to google that.

That's pretty much the story of my life trying to follow any recipe, I'm googling like every 2nd word.

Honestly crock pot recipes are probably the easiest though, need to find a cook book that specializes in low ingredient count recipes. Trying to figure out what all the ingredients are is what tends to make it hard. Turns into a whole research project. Need to learn a good 10 or so recipes then I can just rotate through them. I know maybe a couple only. Spaghetti is about the only one I actually do well at.
