Amazon's really confusing shoppers by reusing a current listing page for a newly-released model. So all the history of the old model - questions and reviews - gets preserved and mixed in with questions and reviews for the NEW model.

SO as a shopper, I have to look up the "First available on Amazon" date for the new model, and then ignore any reviews that are older.

Obviously Amazon hopes the reputation of the old model bolsters sales of the new, but it cuts both ways - the old reputation could deter sales of the new.

I thought only unscrupulous Chinese sellers practiced this, but I guess it's Amazon's new paradigm. :confounded:

Interesting, I wonder if that's why sometimes the item does not quite match the description. Could be that I got the item mid transition. I've also seen it where they try to trick you by showing a picture of two items, and even say "pack of 2" but it's actually just 1 of the items.

What! That's messed up. Haven't seen that.

As far as what I reported above, the product description reloads as you flip between models, so the functionality is there - but yeah, some human could've pasted in some text written for another model.

I'm currently studying this Brother inkjet - which debuted July 2018 - so I can safely ignore any reviews/questions before that date. But there's no way to "group by model", or hide reviews not referriing to that model.
Should be simple to implement if Amazon took the time.

Yeah never been a victim of it but sometimes I see two items that look the same but one is more expensive, so I'll look at reviews for the cheaper one to try to see what the difference is, and it's usually that the more expensive one is "pack of 2" or whatever while the cheaper one is not, even though it says it is.

Wow reading on these new drunk driving laws, completely overreaching and ridiculous. It's not about keeping road safe anymore it's about power. They can arrest you in a restaurant or in your own home just for drinking now. There also seems to be a limit on how many empties at a time you can bring to the beer store. That won't be a problem for me given I hardly drink but it's still BS. Wonder if they'll be checking recycling bins next now. I usually just put wine bottles in the recycling. Like, I make a bottle last 3 days. Not exactly a big drinker, but yet under these new laws I could get arrested in my own house if they just happen to do a random check at a bad time.

Since sid is acting ignorant, please explain exactly how the new laws (Timmins, Ontario, Canada) have changed and how they would effect those that drink in their home. And yes, I know that sid doesn't drink.

Coldest weather of the year so far. We had an arctic front come through at midnight. Low of 27F tonight. I understand that it's colder in Canada. Duh. I live in North Texas, not North Dakota.

Change was about letting cops ask for breathalyser and substance test from any driver they stop. Unless you are living in a motorhome and driving that around while under the influence, I don't see how they can test you drinking at home...

So, what's up with the restrictions on empties? Can they really restrict how much one purchases?

NoDak here. It's a balmy -12 with a high of -2 today. It's also the biggest party of the year.
