Watching municipal election nef.

Looks like our mayor is out. It's kinda bittersweet. At first I wanted him out for change (taxes and spending are nuts) but after watching the debates I realized he was the most professional and he admitted to some mistakes so I took his side again and voted for him. We'll see what happens.

Early voting started here in Texas today. I vote across the street from where I live. I'll probably do that tomorrow.

Counting over, ended up 54%. I guess it could be worse! Our mayor is officially out. We'll see what new one can accomplish. Hopefully he does well. The major issue here really is the taxes, something has to be done to lower or at very least freeze them.

Will be interesting to see how the US mid terms end up. Though I'm not quite sure how those work, Trump is still there to stay no matter the result right?

If it was just a local election 54% percent would be darn good in the USA or at least Virginia.

Even year elections are always over fifty percent. Remember half of those include voting for a president.
In Virginia, odd years are just for our beautiful Commonwealth. Turnout is half of an even year.

I live in an independent city, local elections used to be in MAY. Twenty percent would be freaking huge.
