Made a couple vlog videos so far, might upload them at some point. I am still kinda shy about putting myself out there, but it is kinda fun to do, as it forces me to work on projects and might actually make me better at "public" speaking. Getting out of my shell so to speak. Editing is longer than I would have thought of though but I might get better once I find a "system". Spent way more than an hour on my last vid. but it turned out to be over 10 minutes long so that's nice. That is kind of the length I'm going for. A lot of the youtubers I follow seem to aim for that range as well. There are some that make 1 hour videos that I can actually enjoy right through, but that is not something easy to pull off, some are just more natural. I'm not going to aim for that any time soon. My style is probably going to be like 10% talking and the rest just doing. But when I build my shop and start to do projects in there I can probably go a bit more AvE style and just talk the whole way once I get more comfortable. I just don't want to talk outside as it's kinda awkward if there's people around. :p

Actually an interesting thing with AvE is he's not shy at all talking and does well but don't think he wants anyone to see his face. I'm kinda the opposite, I don't really care showing my face but I'm more shy about talking.

If I end up getting into this and continuing then I'll want to buy some better video equipment like dedicated camcorder with good mic, and various tripod/stands/clamps etc so I can stick the camera in different spots for cinematics. A dedicated time lapse camera that I can set up for the entire time would be useful too. Probably look into a gopro session. A dedicated mirrorless DSLR just for time lapse could be nice too, though I think gopro is best route. It's already mostly water proof and I can get various accessories for it to clamp it somewhere to oversee a whole work area.

My power went out today for a few seconds so I missed my alarm. I don't work today, but I still wanted to get up before noon.

Also I think I really do need to change the battery in my workstation UPS. I thought maybe my mining rig was overloading it so I moved it off and it still rebooted the machine. So now I got two machines that are going down hard every time the power goes out. Guess I better look at replacing the battery before I start losing hardware.
