Strangely enough, someone in my grandparents hometown in Alabama had a 2CV in the mid eighties. How it got in the USA is a complete mystery. Rural AlaBama makes you think it as a junkyard find and they put a home fixed lawnmower engine in it..

I don't subscribe to the notion that ... those who buy a product, and can offer reasons why they put money into it, (1) have some kind psychological need/imperative to "justify" their purchase (wtf?), (2) are fanboys (most people can give reasons why they put their money where their mouth is, doesn't make them a fan), or (3) were "suckered" by marketing into believing the product will improve their lives.

We think it's bad for tech but the knuckle dragging over Ford vs Chevy is hilariously worse.

Got one side of my shed roof all shingled after work. I'll do other side tomorrow if it does not rain. Suppose to rain on my days off so figured I'd try to get it done after work even if there's less time. Once the roof is done it will officially be properly weatherproofed. Next step is soffits, siding, and then the outside is done and I can concentrate on the inside. Electrical, shelving, etc. Not sure if I want to do the solar setup this year or not. I figure at least a grand for that and need to see if I can find a place locally that sells that kind of stuff so I can save on shipping.

I've had shingles. No fun at all.

Shingles can be fun if you have 3 colors - slightly different shades. You can arrange them in a repeating pattern and add a little pizazz to el roofo.
