I use hotspotshield, but only when I'm banking.

When I'm on the road and using a public wifi I just fire up the Windscribe app. Even got my wife trained on using it. Hotel wifi is the worst.

I was joking about that, but when I'm traveling for work I absolutely do that when on a public wifi. I bring my own pocket router for hotel rooms and use the LAN for my own private connection.
