Just put Linux Mint on the laptop with the newly installed mSATA SSD. Snappy, good as second OS.

Then end up doing like me and accidentally trash the windows partition and then it will become your primary OS. :D

That's seriously how I got switched to Linux. I was already considering it but still in the transition phase. While trying to do a dual boot with Windows 7 I accidentally trashed the Windows installation and it would not boot anymore. Newer versions of windows are picky with partition resizing/moving. So I said "F it" and decided to just configure all my daily stuff in Linux like email etc, restored a backup of my Firefox bookmarks, and setup my file shares, and all that good stuff, then next thing you know I realized a lot of the stuff I do I can do in Linux now.

I did eventually setup windows on a separate SSD, then eventually built a new machine for Linux (did not need as much power) then kept the other for Windows which is mostly for games.

Got 2 more 8' wall sections to build then I can assemble it all. Also did not realize how heavy a wall section would be. Those arn't easy to move.

I'm bummed that the forecast changed for tomorrow. Was suppose to be dry but now it's saying it will rain all day. So sick of this rain. Trying to get a day that I'm off where it also does not rain is like waiting for all the planets to align.

I made sure to post here and Reddit to make sure I was going to do the process correctly. I've done that in the past, ruining an XP partiton in the middle of a semester in college. Fun, fun, fun. Wrote off dual booting linux for a long time. I made sure to pull out the Windows SSHD and install it clean on the mSATA SSD. I'm tempted soon to just buy a 180/240GB mSATA SSD and put windows on there, put a small 60GB partition on my SSHD for Linux Mint and the rest for windows files. I wasn't sure how well this would play out but it wasn't difficult at all. It's nice having all of this in a compact 12.5" laptop.

Ah crap, it's not just raining a bit, it's pouring. My shed walls are fully exposed right now. :/

They are near the edge of the property where water tends to pool too. This freaking blows. Had a feeling I should have taken the effort to put them on the floor deck so I can tarp everything.

I just figured we were getting drizzle not a torrential downpour.

Wow this rain just won't stop. I guess the wall that's sitting at the bottom of the pile is a write off at this point. Well they probably all are as they'll probably all warp. Rain is suppose to keep going all through tomorrow, then I start work. So won't be able to touch it for another couple weeks.

Where ya headed? I'm taking a road trip after work for south Texas.
Driving to home and back from college, and then I thought I was going to be picking some family up from an airport. It's 240 miles home so that's 480 miles and then 102 miles to the airport so another 204, so 684 total. I overestimated a bit. Luckily I didn't need to go to the airport so 'only' 480 miles. All in Alabama though, sadly not Texas, I miss that state.
That's crazy. Come to think of it I've never really driven that far myself, maybe a couple 100km at most.
684 miles is 1101km, but I only drove 773km. Longest I've ever driven in one go is 706km 439 miles.
Thankfully not
Hey guys! Hello from south Texas. I'm in Victoria tonight. Had a great dinner down overlooking the Guadalupe River. My wife had the pecan encrusted chicken, while I had a 12oz rib eye and saluted green beans. They had some chefs cuz that food was really good. Continuing west tomorrow until I hit I-35. Getting lots of great pics.
Well, I'm back in Arlington. 863 miles later.
Arlington is pretty cool I've probably mentioned this before but I used to live in Mansfield.

It's raining here also - whole local map is green :( - I had put plastic over the pallet with the shed parts - but I think there may be a hole in it - probably dog paw claw ...

Just got a warning now they're calling for another 50mm. This is a huge rain system, it's like this big line going from west of Florida all the way to James Bay. And it's moving north-east bound instead of east bound so it's going to last a while.

My cat's litter smells so horrible. I wanted to buy more earlier at the grocery store and totally forgot it. I accidentally bought the scented kind last time and that combined with her poop makes for a horrible smell. It's time to change it out.

House train it :) :) Bella woke me up at 1am - I opened the back door - she looks at Me like " you don't really expect Me to go out in the RAIN and Pee ? " - but she dashed out for a quick squat and right back in again.
Which is why I'm wide awake right now. But on the plus side , the 3 boys just went out for a splash and go & I was already awake. Alex , Calvin and Bruno don't mind that it's raining - lightning - thunder boomin' - they'll meander out - do the job and meander back in.

Haha no I don't want to let her outside. Cats aren't like dogs, they don't tend to come back ...
THAT is the whole point ! Just kidding , We had cats in the past ... with Dogs , but it's easier to bring a dog into a cat house than the opposite.
