I keep looking at these hunting properties that are like 50+ acres for fun, they're dirt cheap, barely have taxes and no by-laws. If it was not so hard to get to them and if they had lake front access I'd totally buy one and eventually build a house there.
A downside to everything ... I think wildfires might be better actually , burn to death rather than be tortured for the rest of your miserable life of slavery to the StateExcept it's Illinois.

Actually been toying with setting up a small solar farm, but seems there is no capacity on the grid in all the places I want to do it at. Not even for micro fit. Wonder what is involved in setting up a PUC. There's a property for sale at a town that has like 100 people. Could probably power the whole town with a solar farm, tons of batteries, and a backup diesel. I'd charge a tad less than Hydro, make a killing.Buy it setup wind power farm.

Wynne will come after you.
Why aren't fitness clubs outfitting their exercise equipment to dynamos inatead of magnetic resistance?
They should make a gym where all the exercise machines are just putting power into the grid. You pick your resistance level based on how many watts you want to output. It all gets regulated and then sent to a grid tie inverter.
