Grew out my beard for a while in my mid 20's because I could. Started to go for it a few years ago but the wife didn't like it. Small thing to lose for a happy wife :D

Haha yeah my mom give me trouble about it. "Please don't grow it again, please!" Challenge accepted. :p My dad likes it, so at least it's just my mom that's against it haha. I need to start at a time where I know I won't see them for like a few weeks then just randomly show up with a beard. :D

This year I'm probably going to keep it trimmed though, last year I just let it go wild to see how it would turn out. Though, that kinda is the style now...

My wife doesn't dig the beard once it's more than a couple centimeters long. Since being out of the military I have made a point to grow it out. It does suck every day wearing a beard cover at work though.

Haha nice. This was me after about 5 months:

I trimmed it out before shaving it just to see how it would end up like. A bit cleaner:

Worse part is, I still got carded with the beard. I still look under 19 to some apparently lol. They are always shocked when they see my ID and realize I'm 31.

I need to really force myself up early tomorrow. Only been putting a couple hours per day on my shed. I can do better than that.

Progress so far:

Still on floor, but there's a few extra steps I took as I want to insulate it so added some plywood at the bottom to hold the insulation. Tomorrow I do rodent sealing (probably screen + foam where there are any gaps) then insulation then top sheeting. From there I can start on trusses and set them aside then do walls. At that point things will come together faster.

Bought a simple tool to help carry sheets of plywood alone. It's a life saver.

Doing a time lapse of the whole thing too, will edit it and post it once it's all done.

I'd be a single man if I did pic 1, not by my choice. I haven't been carded in forever, and I'm 29.
