Ah, another piece of the puzzle. Kicked out for violating Don't Ask, Don't Tell, eh? 😀 What did you do and where did you serve?

Don't Ask, Don't Tell, eh? - We didn't ask why or hesitate when we killed or tell about it afterwards 😀

I was in the 82nd Airborne and the 5th Special Forces Group. MOS was 32S - COMSEC

Crypto Repair - trained Depo level ( repair the PCBs ) but worked Field COMSEC ( glorified board swapper )
Medically retired , Honorably in '82

I believe I had a classmate who had been in the 82nd. I was in admin in the Navy. My sister was a Marine and was a aviation mechanic and worked on F-14s. Currently, I have a nephew (sister's kid) who's a Marine stationed in Camp Pendleton. Say hello to my nephew!

My dad was 82nd ABN late in WW II , Had ancestors in WWI also. One brother was a Marine , another was Army. TOW missile repair - used to joke he was " in flight missile repair " LOL

My father was in the Army Air Corps in late WWII until 1955. He did the Berlin Airlift. I know we lost a couple in the Pacific, one in Guadal Canal and another in Okinawa. Had an uncle in the Navy in WWII and another uncle that did 3 tours in Nam in the infantry. He got the Bronze Star. I think some cousins did some service as well. There's even one that was a Major in the Civil War from New York. Led a company of negroes out of Mississippi. It's wild thinking about it all.
