I wouldn't want the 130lb speakers to be toppled and fall on them twins.
130 pounds? Mine weigh 80lbs a piece and I thought mine were huge. LOL
Mine are 50" tall, too. LOL
Well mine have 15" sub built in, with 500w plate amp
THAT'S why they weigh 130 pounds!
And being skinny they are not rock steady.
Mine are very stable. A little kid is not going to knock them over. Check out the guy in the other thread looking at the cheapo receivers. I'm not telling anyone how to spend their money, but I spend more on a CPU than they guy wants to spend on the heart of his audio system.
Shrug, people have different priorities.
Thing with the new receivers is their amp stage are utter crap. Especially they only tell you thd of one or two channel driven, not all channel.
True. My old Denon has 7 discrete amps. Each one will put out its rated output. That's why the thing is so damn heavy. Built like a tank. But it doesn't have HDMI, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. I manage to get by.![]()
Well most of the weight is heat sink. Not the most efficient power wise. That is why I like the class D's
May decide to build one. From modules of course.
500w @8ohm x 5 sounds fun :awe:
