Water pump in my car failed today... 50 miles from home. Called my road service. Thankfully the tow was covered by my insurance. Thought maybe it was too far of a tow. Ordered a new water pump from Amazon on my phone while I waited for the wrecker. Took it half apart tonight. Won't get the part until probably after 5pm. Fun.

aren't water pumps usually fairly easy to replace? may as well put in a new belt.

It's not the worst job you could have. It's not having pneumatic tools and access issues that makes it difficult. I've got lots of tools, but there's always one you wish you had for a specific job.
