I've really not been around here much the last few months...lots of stuff to deal with.

I wonder, did I ever tell you guys about Humpty Dumpty and how he got his leg and foot smashed and nearly severed (multiple compound fractures)?
All the kings horses and all the kings men still haven't figured out how to put it back together again. Was a good thing I knew how to apply a tourniquet.
 
I notice the reply speed seems to be much faster in this thread than the old forum was. I still wonder what the delay was after hitting post reply.
 
I wonder if anybody here will like me, now that it's an option. To bad there's no "hate" button, I'd be sure to win a lot of those...well if I'm not on every ignore list already.
 
As a side note, I'll be heading out later today to take care of Humpty Dumpty, while he heals and undergoes further surgeries.
Which reminds me, I need to call the head honcho over at that place. See if they need anything more and let 'em know the progress.

Which means I'll be gone for a while again. And as usual, I will leave with my threat of impending return.

I liked the old style. Everything was there, it worked, didn't really need anything added or changed. And it looked nicer, with a better neutral blue grey color scheme.

I think there is a way to enable a navigation bar. Not sure what the option is called though, sticky sidebar IIRC? Editing the title of a thread seems to be done from the first post, but is disabled after a couple minutes.

I don't think this change was for looks or anything, simply for modern forum software. For example, MongGrel's post above me was posted while I was typing this, and the forum notified me and allowed me to see it without leaving the page. This nef thread is also nearly lag free with over 125,000 posts, that's pretty impressive. The old forum also had that security breach, and xenforo is still being updated, unlike vbul 3.8.8 alpha.

eldorado also posted right as I hit enter but I saw his post appear. This new software is neat. You can also tag people, like @EliteRetard
