Well there's one way to send an astronaut on an escape path.

Command module + reaction wheel high speed spin + EVA at the right moment (pretty much a guess at that speed). Ended up in orbit around the sun.

That or stuck on the Mun with not enough fuel to get back.

I still need to figure out the proper method to rendez vous. Looked at all sorts of tutorials but I just can't grasp it, I always end up running out of fuel trying to get the orbit just right. I should practice it with the unlimited fuel mod just to get the feel for it.
