Well, I have never bought a DSLR. I still have 35mm :cool:

Debating if I should get the 5D

The thing is I don't really have much time to take pictures these days.

If we are talking about the MKIII 5D, I don't really think it is worth $3k for a camera that you admit you wouldn't have time to really use...

That's just it, that is why I am hesitating.

Not to mention having never owned a DSLR the 5D is a lot of camera, I would get something in the 1,000-1,750 range before dropping $3-4k on something that will likely end up sitting on the shelf collecting dust except for the 4 times a year when it's used.


Buy a decent DLSR, if it's something you can really get into and actually take pictures, etc. Sell it and buy the 5D or whatever but after you have established decent proficiency with a mid-low end DSLR.

shooting dslr should not be any different than shooting 35mm :whiste:
