I went to a gay bar once. With 3 of by best friends. All of them marines. We didn't know it was a gay bar. Oh well. Had fun

I decided that I've got dibs on the gay bar that my ex and I used to go to... he may live 2 blocks away from it, but I've been going there longer and have more free time with which to become an alcoholic.

this.

my work clothes get dry cleaned. I usually make sure I've got one set of non-work nice (well, at least non-shabby) clothes as well

ordinarily, I'll try clean anything that comes out of the wash in need of ironing... but I need/want the shirt for a first date tonight :(

he's coming straight from work, so I figure let me dress up my usual t-shirt/jeans since he'll be in corporate casual.

assuming that whatever restaurant doesn't have a minimal dress code

yeah, no dress code. it's a place I go to with my friends once in awhile that also happens to be near his office... I'd feel fine going there in a t-shirt and shorts, but since it's a date, I figure I'll class it up with a button-down shirt.

can't decide how the date went.

conversation seemed good, but I was the one who had to proffer "we should do this again sometime."

unfortunately, the date was in a location where there wasn't much to do after dinner (and the weather sucks)... if there's a date #2, I may have to suggest something in walking distance of my house.
