I wonder if the HDPVR can record EU or JP consoles without issue. Would like to see what nice imports are out there.
I don't get why they region-locked games & consoles in previous generations. That shit would have helped boost sales a bit when it came to games from other regions.
Instead you'd have to spend just as much, if not more, on another console, just to play other region games, with the import mark-up on top of that.

Been contemplating on chipping my current consoles to play backups & imports.
Glad Dreamcast runs shit stock. But not so much as far as imports go.
Chipped my Saturn, but it doesn't play imports. Short of more modifications. I think.
I bought a PS1 that was chipped to play imports & backups.... But it's kind of flaky. When I tried to return it. The guy stopped answering my calls & emails.
I would like to do my PS2. But that chip mod requires a whole lot more than the Saturn did. Not entirely sure I'm up to the challenge. Or if am able to get through it without breaking anything in the process. So would want another PS2 on hand in case I fuck up the one I have now.
