the other day, a coworker that I hate asked me to evaluate him.

that was a ridiculously awkward conversation.

hate his personality or his work?
work

he's a really nice guy, but it seems like he's incapable of working independently.

I don't mind training new hires, but this guy's been working here for over a year... and even when he does know what he's doing, he still asks me to confirm/sign-off/whatever he's working on, which is just time wasted from my day (and I'm sure as hell not being paid to be his supervisor, I think he just treats me like I am because we work together 3 out of 4 days/week)

my awkward evaluation was a lot of vague generalities and suggestions that he read all the how-to documentation we have about most of our common tasks.

It appears as if this laptop model has a well-known & lengthy thread about it's faulty components - heating issues over on the HP forums.
Have gotten about 3 computers in the past month that suffered failure at source of poor cooling issues. Where the chip's only heatsink was either passive, or had that retarded foil shit. Especially that foil shit. I see that & am surprised shit hasn't overheated sooner.

I'm procrastinating on tearing the fucking thing apart to confirm everything is in place. I do not look forward to it. Took too long to do yesterday.

Wait, sharepoint on Mac?

VMware a whole bunch of stuff while still using it as my HTPC. Currently what we use sharepoint for does not have any issues running on a mac.
I doubt I'll be VM'ing a home install of sharepoint. Hopefully I won't be that far deep into that stuff.
just get a macbook and be done with it
Already have one.

My condolences.
yeah... Not looking forward to it. :\ Oh well. Pay increase is always nice. I do loose my office though. I have to work in another building. :( :colbert:

Now I need a pair of closed headphones. When I test drove my friend's Denon AH-D7000 I loved them. A bit pricey though
