Amiga keyboards usually go for about $20, maybe $30. There is a new keyboard up for auction and it was going for $10 and I put a max bid of $50.

Some guy then started bidding on it and magically stopped at $49.99 after several bids. I mean, if you wanted something and your bid at $49.99 wasn't accepted, wouldn't you think the guy that keeps beating your bid probably bid $50 and therefore, bid $51?

Over the years, I've heard all sorts of complaints that "seller" uses shill bidders. I've never heard, "and this is how we stopped it permanently"

Yeah, I just think it is super suspicious. I mean, who stops at $49.99 after probably placing 10 bids in a row?

Of course, their argument would be "Why didn't he stop at $24.99 instead of risking having he winning bid if you bid a max of $25?"

Yeah, odd. I know I've autobid +$xx.01 to try to get over a hump, never a -.01.
