Just posted up my wheel/tire dilemma in ATG, hopefully somebody there can give me an opinion, and confirm whether wider tires really are worth it, et cetera.

The thread seems a little vague, but I've basically lost sight of my goal here.

So it's about $170/250 net to buy wheels w/tires, sell the used tires, buy new 245/45ZR18 entry high performance. That is to say, net over the $500 to just buy the wheels w/tires and go with that.

To go to 18's, if I could find a set, would be about $300 more than that.
