Note: the MIR is a mail-in card, so it still needs to be spent. And soon, before they start charging fees. D:

I'm having some problems with files streaming off my server desyncing the audio and video tracks.

Some days it's a problem, some days it isn't. Sometimes I get desyncs on streaming web video, but I've always figured that's the source's problem.

I was watching Batman Begins last night, and I've never noticed desync on that file before, and given as at one point I had multiple copies, I'm certain I checked all copies and picked the best, which would also mean no saved desync.

Ergo, it's a sporadic issue.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a bandwidth issue. But if you never had the problem in the past then I suppose it's not. Not sure. Reboot your router?

Never had that problem in the past on that particular file, but on other files. File size is not a governing issue, which is to say, SD, HD, doesn't matter, sometimes they'll desync, sometimes not.

Have you installed any new software on the server since you started having this problem?

Because when I questioned our advisors authority they started taking it way to personally. I refuse to be the face of their decisions. Decisions I have never agreed with.

They started shooting my ideas down just because they were my ideas. Not because the ideas were bad.

I don't need that crap. So decided to move on.

They also stop paying us starting this semester.

What is your server running and what client?
