Well, I found out some more stuff!

Apparently, the school has become desperate to improve their national ranking. Their approach is restricting class sizes. Thus, the rumor that permission numbers won't add to overload classes is even more likely to be true.

Instead, they create a handful of classes, and if you don't get into those ones, too bad! Try another one, if there's one open. That it cannot fit your schedule is not our problem, we created the class, you make it work. If they're all closed, I'm not sure what they're doing.

So, I'm pretty much screwed on the wait listed courses. It's pretty much the only configuration that works, but there are a few opens that cannot function, so they'll probably sit back and twiddle their thumbs and say "you make it work". There's one open class that would fit, sorta, except it turns out that professor ranks about 1.2 of 5 on RMP, and is heavily criticized for his accent. Since I can't deal with accents, that's pretty much a guaranteed failed course.

My only thought is that the sudden increase in classes in the 3-3:50 area, but still with the dead zone from 1-3, is that is their answer to wanting smaller classes. Let the professors have their 1-3 time off, and load classes into the end of the day.

I work at 4. Those classes are not an answer, unless I do quit.

I told the EE office I was quitting, but I wasn't planning on it. :/
