Computer retail sales, commission job. I have social anxiety so it's not the best fit lol. I did it OK for a year in the past but that was in a different store with different people. And my problems have gotten worse.

That sucks man.

I was always extremely shy growing up and it probably bordered on mild social anxiety. In high school, I tried to force myself to be more social and I did go to more events and stuff my junior year, but when my senior year rolled around, I withdrew more. I missed out on so much, including pretty girls who I later found out were interested in me.

So, when I decided to temporarily (at the time) stop grad school, I got a job working for a large computer reseller/integrator as an "engineer" (more like a consultant) that was assigned to an account team that worked with large customers. The position was in a call center so I'd be forced to work with lots of different people. I took the job because I knew I'd be forced to interact with people and I'm glad I did, because it really helped draw me out of my shell.

Even still, I've gradually withdrawn since then and even though I'm married, I'm pretty anti-social. I try to force myself to do things for my wife's benefit, but man, it is hard sometimes.
