I later found out that he got the bright idea to call his ISP over the analog connection in his office to avoid our network and made him stop that too. I should've fired his ass.

The funny thing was that he was a church deacon (or some such shit) and is always posting biblical nonsense on his Facebook. I wonder if he was thinking of God while downloading porn and thinking of him years later when he was cheating on his wife with a fellow employee....

He turned red, started sputtering around, and claimed that his friends sent him links to the file in email and he just downloaded them without looking. I said "Well I guess you should choose your friends more carefully because I'd never email a friend a file called 'DebbieDoesTheFootballTeam.avi.'" I then asked him to explain some other things I found.

Oh, that must've been an embarrassing conversation. At least his tastes sound fairly normal.

And there's something wrong with this? :awe:

This one older guy with a wife and younger kids was mild-mannered and somewhat religious. The report showed that he was visiting a site called "barnyardf&*cking.com." WTF! This was a call center too -- how did someone NOT see him doing it?!?!?

LOLOL.

Well, I get the whole different strokes for different folks, but, uh, once you start leaving the same species, it has to count as weird.

(I'm assuming by the site name there were participants other than humans.)

We suspected that he was a deacon and Bible school teacher because he liked the teen girls but we had no evidence on it. Years later, after I left the company, I found out he was screwing one of the girls in the call center. He was married with one or two small kids and she was married too. We could never figure that one out because while I suppose that maybe he was decent looking, he was dumber than a box of rocks.

He knew I was PISSED and you could tell he was mad at being called out. I explained to him that I was his manager and responsible for his behavior and that if I am aware of this kind of behavior, I must take action or I could lose my job and besides that, it made our department look bad.

That was the one time I reamed him on his review for some other things I didn't really ever discuss with them. You never do that to an employee on a review, but I was so pissed from the whole porn fiasco that I thought it was justified in this case. My boss gave me the option to fire him, but I couldn't do it since he had small kids. I was a sucker.

Are we talking late teens who look very much like adults, or early teens? If the latter, D:.

Did he stop doing it afterwards?

That's when he started dialing up to his local ISP on his phone line. I couldn't prove he was surfing porn then but I was pretty sure he was and told him he was not allowed to use that phone line for anything except testing modems on laptops he configured and if I caught him doing otherwise, there would be disciplinary actions.

The sad part was that this guy was losing his job and my former boss hired him on. He had previously worked with another group in our building as their "IT guy" (LOL!) and the group was disbanded and everyone laid off. We were in need of someone and I had worked with him when he was in a previous role and he did seem like a hard worker, so my boss decided to bring him on.

We both regretted it later.

If he's just looking, I'm not seeing a real problem on that front.

Now, being religious and cheating on his wife at the same time, that's lulzy.

Looking at work is a problem. I'm not going to say I've never taken a quick peek at some boobs at work, but he was spending hours doing it and watching porn movies too (which I would never do).

And yes, the religious act is a joke. I have a friend who is friends with him on FB and tells me all the religious shit he is posting.

My guess is that his wife is probably religious and he plays it up to win favor with her, her family, and to appear as a "good person" to others. We know the truth.

I know he was cheating on his wife too, because the girl he was cheating with was a friend to a girl I had a brief relationship with and she told me the stories.

Oh, okay, we're not on the same page there. You said Bible school teacher, then teen girls, I thought it was a reference to him teaching the Bible to teen girls so that he could also be looking at the teen girls IRL. Now I get what you were saying, and you're right, of course - at work is a problem. More so the many hours and the movies.

I don't understand people like this. Is it so hard to refrain from surfing porn at work, even when you know you're being logged and your job is at stake?
