Here I have a 7970 sitting in its box next to machines with 990X and other various Xeon 1366 boards and two 2011 systems. None of the systems have anything faster than an HD 4850 and GTX 280. :biggrin:

No it keeps my pile of papers from flying all over the place when this fan kicks in.

Perhaps I should dust off the 6990 (also in the box!) and put that on the pile of papers for now and install this 7970.

I'm curious if a single GPU can (finally) satisfy the need for speed on a 1600p display.

I actually got it because AMD claims it supports 4K video in hardware.

Well the good news is on the dual cpu boards now with a single GPU NUMA can be turned off. This makes PPD soar by another 20k! :awe:
