1. First thing you need to do is to open your case up to move the USB jumpers. Do this with power cord disconnected! Move the jumpers on the USBPW1-4, USBPW7-10 and USBPW11-12 headers to the +5VSB position. This is with the jumper on the 2 and 3 pin of each header. The attached Asus P5Q SE2 manual has a diagram of the location of each header and the jumper positioning on Page 18. Once that's done, you can close your case back up.

i really have to wonder about people saying headphones need a break-in period, that smells of bullshit to me... and so much of audiophilia is bullshit... :hmm:

It took my Shure's a while to break-in. Literally had no bass out of the box. It took about a month of normal playing (I didn't realize it). Finally had some bass.

It depends on the earphone/headphones. I couldn't notice a difference on my sennheisers

hmm... well i will have to wait and see then... This set of XB1000's is the first set of headphones I've ever heard that I cannot overdrive, astounding feat.

The AKG K702's I can easily overdrive, but at their max volume (without being overdriven) they do sound better than the XB1000's, the XB1000's are just more fun because of the loudness, and amount of bass they can produce. And yes, I am deaf.

And while the K702's are extremely comfortable, the 1000's take it a notch higher. I can't fault either one for comfort though, theyre both like ear blow jobs.

I meant more that they will go louder than I can stand before they are overdriven, which is not the case for any set of headphones I have ever tried. Even the http://www.shure.com/americas/produ...eadphones/srh750dj-professional-dj-headphones

It is just that I like my music FUCKING LOUD and headphones tend not to deliver on that. But, FYI the amp is just my main integrated amp, i have yet to buy a dedicated headphone amp. (another thing I am suspicious of the value on)
