Smoking is bad for your health.
I recommend smoldering instead.

You can almost see the circuits exploding now...

Losing control sounds like a dangerous proposition. Despite all that efforts on containment continue. The smell of burning aliphatic hydrocarbonated resin is strong but not quite gut wrenching as say the fumes from ten middle aged hispanic women in a Bessemer converter. Both smoke types tend to be greasy and heavy with the former leaving black drifters tending to follow the eddies like gnats around the anus of a dirty cattle.

Okay, I can't play games on this machine anymore, because it's lagging worse.

I don't know why, this sort of deterioration screams imminent hardware failure or massive OS damage.

Anyways, back to trying to figure out overclocking i7!

Last time I tried, I couldn't even make 3.6, and gave up. I know this chip is 4.0 clear, I've done it before, but I lost the settings, and maybe the chip deteriorated.

Once that's done, I'm pulling the SLI card, because it helps for SCII, but it makes the PSU squeal even at idle, and hurts all other games by causing tearing.

And then reformatting the computer.
